After Kangana Ranaut backed out for working in Anurag Basu's film Imali, Deepika Padukone has been approached by the makers. A report in an entertainment website suggests that Deepika, who is currently shooting for Chhapaak, might be replacing Kangana in the film
"Kangana Ranaut had walked out of filmmaker Anurag Basu’s forthcoming movie Imali citing difference in opinion.
If the report is to be believed, the director and the Padmaavat actress have been on talking terms about Imali. As the two of them couldn’t reunite after Gangster and Life In A Metro, the filmmaker has now approached Deepika Padukone to play the lead role in the film," said a source. "As Deepika is busy with Chhapaak, the conversations between the filmmaker and the actress have been more than positive, the source added.
On the other hand, Kangana Ranaut, who started her Bollywood career with Anurag's film Gangster in 2006, had to quit his project because of schedule conflicts. In an interview to IANS earlier, the Gangster actress who would have been working with him again, said that moving out of his film was a tough call for her.
